TRUFC’s 2017 ANNUAL BALL RAISES £4k

On Saturday 14 October players, supporters, members, friends and family descended on Southport’s Ramada Plaza Hotel for this year’s much anticipated TRUFC annual ball.

This years themed masquerade ball, had over one hundred and fifty people in attendance for an evening of good food, dancing, a hotly anticipated raffle and auction.

Once again this years’ event was expertly organised by Helen Chinn who worked tirelessly in the months leading up to the event which has proven to be the biggest success to date in the history of the TRUFC Ball.

At the end of the night £3,700 had been made by the club just on ticket sales, raffle and auction alone and with further money to come in from sponsors for the event confidence was high that we would reach the £4,000 mark which we did!

Hugh Patterson, Chairman of TRUFC said: “This years fundraising ball at the Ramada was a fabulous evening. Great venue, great service and great company!

A special night supported by players, parents, coaches, volunteers and supporters from across the club.

Many thanks to all who attended and supported the fundraising programme. Steve Gough led the auction brilliantly with a £2k plus outcome. I understand we should break £4,000 in proceeds, which is just fantastic.

Special thanks to Helen Chinn and her family for ‘making it happen’ A brilliant effort Helen and a massive thank you from us all”

Steve Gough, Head Coach and Chief Auctioneer, said:

“Bringing all the members of the club together for mini & junior to senior was an incredible job done superbly well by Helen. I personally would like to thank all the people who donated auction prizes for this event. I believe we achieved a massive figure on the night in raising vital funds for the club.

It was great to see a lot of old faces with a lot of new faces at this prestigious event.

I would also like to thank the guests who made bids in big numbers to make the auction a success.

Bringing the club together on a night like this is always special and hope we have many more nights like that”

No time has been wasted planning the TRUFC Ball 2018! The wheels are already in motion and the date secured with the Ramada Plaza for Saturday 13 October 2018, we look forward to seeing what Helen has in store for next year and welcoming club members and friends back to the event.
