Sale Sharks will be visiting the club on Tuesday 5 December to deliver a Coaching Education Workshop for all of our Mini’s & Junior’s Coaches and Managers.
Sale Sharks Community Trust aims to meet the development needs of both players and coaches here in the North West with a philosophy firmly based on a player centred approach to coaching focused on core skill development, delivered through adaptive games.
During the Workshop the Sale Sharks team will be giving TRUFC coaches the tools to:
- Understand the adaptive games led approach to coaching.
- Understand how, when and why to use adaptive games to help our players learn.
- Learn how to create adaptive games for our players.
Head Coach Steve Gough said; “This is a great opportunity for us to benefit from the fantastic educational work the Sale Sharks Community Trust do and provide our hard working coaches and Managers with some additional professional development.
Our Mini & Junior sections are the future of our club and it’s important that they are nurtured in regard to their rugby education. More importantly, its vital that they enjoy learning about Rugby and playing with their peers. We are so lucky at this club to have such dedicated coaches and managers throughout the Mini & Junior Section who give massive amounts of their own time to the running of our club. With that in mind, it’s important our coaches and managers are provided with the tools and ideas to make their jobs easier as they work towards producing our next generations of TRUFC senior players”
We are looking forward to welcoming the Sale Sharks Community Trust on the 5th and this won’t be the last you see of them at the club as we are working on something very exciting for 2018……WATCH THIS SPACE!
