Under the direction of Head Coach Steve Gough, the Club is pleased to announce two senior coaching appointments, Nick King and James Smith, strengthening our team of Senior Coaches to 4. We are delighted to welcome Nick and James who join with a wealth of playing and coaching experienced gained from National League rugby. Nick and James join Tim Molloy and Mike Jones, who have been the bedrock of the Club’s recent successes and the Club is indebted to the energy and passion they bring to the coaching team.
This strengthened team further adds to the excitement we can all share, in that the Club remains able to attract great talent to the Club. It also reflects the clubs ambition to thrive as a community club with a continued focus on developing both our on and off field standards and we will continue to look for ways to develop and improve continuously.
Tarleton prides itself on the development of homegrown talent and there is no intention to deviate from this strategy that has served us so well. These coaching appointments have been made so coaching can work closely with the Club’s mini and junior section to enable the transition of players throughout the Club’s playing age groups and on to our senior teams.
Our new coaching team is deep in preparation for the new season across the Club, in particular the start of pre-season on 2nd of July and the senior players day at Myerscough College on Saturday 13th July. We are also optimistic to be in a position to announce further senior players joining the Club in the coming weeks.
Together we are hugely excited to get the new season started at the Club across all playing teams and hope you share in our enthusiasm in announcing this 2019/20 Coaching Team.
