Many members have been asking about our Chairman; Hugh Paterson.
The following is a personal note from Hugh he’d like to share. We are sure that you will join us in sending all our love and support to Hugh, Carol and their family at this difficult time. As founding member of our club Hugh has been part of the clubs journey since day one and much of the Club’s success has been down to his drive, determination and love for the Club.
From everyone, Hugh – we send all our love. ❤️💛🖤
Firstly, my apologies for keeping such a low profile over recent months.
Unfortunately, I have been diagnosed with terminal pancreatic cancer with uncertain timescales. Consequently, the illness has placed constraints on my ability to support TRUFC in my normal fashion.
Whilst I shall not give in to this illness without a fight, I have to be realistic about what I can do.
However, rest assured I shall always maintain my passion for TRUFC.
Plans are well in hand for Ian Jackson and a revamped management committee to take the club forward in 2020.
Jacko is already doing a great job as Acting Chairman and will be officially appointed at the AGM.
The Club has bold development plans to develop upstairs, which will only succeed with your continued loyalty and support.
Love to all.
